o.o
I don't really know where to start...
Well, to begin with, this picture was drawn for and , because they're awesome and basically the only people I talk to online who I don't know in real life They can both draw a zillion times better than me like crazy though...And many many thanks to for actually getting me this picture (though, apparently she had a better quality one @@ *curses*)
~
All right, here's the problem with this picture...The two areas that Micah has the hardest time with drawing are...
a) Body proportions and
b) Anything that isn't a human face o.o
*is at the pictures mercy*
I can't draw clothes either ;-; Ugh...And her mouth is slightly open! *can't draw open mouths either*
I didn't really think I put any of that into consideration when I wanted to draw this, I saw this very low quality picture and thought "I must draw this! Even though you can't draw people small on paper or anything that has any amount of detail in it at all!" *cries*
I attempted as best as I could. If my best isn't good enough then I'm SAD!
Uhm...Yeah, Gerard had no detail in his face basically at all - So I had to wing that like crazy. *can't draw people without a reference* And then DRAWING THEM TOGETHER WAS AWFUL! x___x I'm just not good at it at all, one person is always in the wrong place or slightly too big...I spent all Friday night just drawing this, I wanted it to look right. Or as right as possible. I tried, really really I did I also never ever draw backgrounds (it's true, look at my gallery, the lack of detailed backgrounds is maddening o.o)
Also, when I tried using my calligraphy pen to write "Music of the Night", I didn't realize that it was waxy there from the colored pencil (oh yeah, I used colored pencil XD) and then even that was hard...
I tried on Gerard and Emmy (did I mention I don't like drawing clothes either?) and the candles and the rest of the background is kinda...Rushed. My fingers were hurting ;-;
I tried though! I did I did! I just can't do detail!
Ah!
And...Once again...Anyone at all have a good Michael Crawford/Sarah Brightman pic? @@ Pleeeease
That's enough complaining for that, the making it part was horrible, but I'm sort of happy with the result For not being able to draw almost every aspect of this picture, it came out pretty I think. A little. ?
Plus, a ton of people started watching me because of my last Phantom of the Opera picture, and I don't want to let them down by uploading anything different.
All right, fine, I LOVE THIS! I DREW PEOPLE! SMALL PEOPLE WITH BODIES WITH AN ACTUAL BACKGROUND...SORTA! AHHHHH!
~Full view~
I'd say this is a pretty good rendering for the medium that you choose. I like the candle-labras (if thats the right word o_0)
Overall i think its a very romantic picture and the drawing was done exquisitly but parts of it dont look finished with the coloring...maybe its just the scan
but still its a in my book

Beautiful work, luv. The use of colors is fantastic. You stuck with a variety of hues rather than just black for shading, and I love that style
XD
*rushed to finish it*
I really don't want to color anymore, I would go insane. The background shall be "simple" and I'll pretend that it was supposed to be like that.
And thank you so much for the great comment!

I love it! You did such a wonderful job on this! Dont even think of selling yourself short!
I -know- what the original looks like, and I know the lack of detail in the picture, so I know that this is an amazing job. I dont think I could do this picture this well in color pencils (a topic we have discussed ).
Now I'm going to have to draw a Phantom picture too. I'll see what I can do about drawing that one with the rose that we talked about, for you, in return for this
;-; The candles are so great...I suck at backgrounds...Emmy's face looks really good. It looks just like her. Gerard looks good too, but I'd say pull the line of his right eye back towards the end of his eyebrow just a smidge, and then it would look JUST like him See? Good critique...not a crappy one.
Otherwise this is perfect!
And I if your art teacher doesnt comment on this one it's because she's speechless!
